Lille Fro Foundation (Lille Fro) respects and upholds your rights to privacy protection under the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 and any similar State or Territory legislation applicable to Lille Fro’s business.

This policy describes how Lille Fro manages any personal information it has about you.

By visiting Lille Fro’s website (www.lillefro.org) or any other Lille Fro related website, by making a donation, providing sponsorship or requesting information, you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy.

Information Collection

As a user of the website, by becoming a supporter or requesting information, you may be asked to submit personal information to Lille Fro.

The information collected by Lille Fro may include:

your name, email address, home or business address and contact telephone numbers;
your date of birth, gender, income, occupation, hobbies and personal interests;
your LFF Number;
details regarding your family members including their names, age, gender and hobbies;
your bank account and credit card details;
details regarding your employer and business;
a history of your donations, correspondence and other interaction with Lille Fro;
your proposed travel arrangements including information contained in relevant police checks which are required by us if you intend to visit your sponsored child;
information contained in correspondence you send to your sponsored child to be reviewed by us and which may be copied and held on file; and
other information you provide to us relating to your sponsorship, donations and / or supported projects with us.

If you do not provide us with certain information, we may not be able to process your donation, sponsorship or provide information or other products and services you request.

If at any time you provide the personal information of another person or entity to Lille Fro, you must ensure that the other person or entity’s officer has read and understood this policy and separately consents to that personal information being used and disclosed by Lille Fro in accordance with this policy.

Website Data

Lille Fro may also collect the following information from the website:

statistical information – Lille Fro may collect statistical information regarding the use of the website. This collection includes your computer’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, the date and time of your visit, previous sites visited and browser type. This information is collected to provide Lille Fro with information about the use of the website and to helps Lille Fro maintain and develop the website to provide better information to users.

when we are legally or otherwise required to do so (ie, if it is a requirement of our policies), such as conducting security and police checks if you plan to visit your sponsored child overseas.

The information Lille Fro collects may be used:

to process or enable third parties to process your donation, sponsorship or purchase, and provide receipts;
to provide you with information on how your donation is used;
to confirm your identity when you make enquiries about your donation;
to communicate with you about work that Lille Fro is undertaking;
to respond to your queries;
to republish information on this website;
to send you information about special events;
to develop, improve and market our range of causes, events, products and services which may be of interest to you;
for Lille Fro’s internal business, administrative, marketing, planning, research, accounting, invoicing, policy and legal requirements;
in order to uphold our Child Protection, privacy and security policies;
for purposes that are expressly permitted under any agreement with you or for purposes for which it was requested; and
other directly related purposes.

Lille Fro will not use or disclose, and will use reasonable endeavours to prevent the use or disclosure of information provided by you except:

as required for performance by Lille Fro of services for, or delivery of products to you;

Access and Correction

You may request access to personal information about you held by Lille Fro by writing to Lille Fro’s Privacy Officer at the address below.

Where Lille Fro holds information that you are entitled to access, Lille Fro will endeavour to provide you with a suitable range of choices as to how you access it (eg. emailing or mailing it to you).

If you believe that personal information Lille Fro holds about you is incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate, then you may request amendment of it.

Lille Fro will consider if the information requires amendment. If Lille Fro does not agree that there are grounds for amendment, then Lille Fro will add a note to the personal information stating that you disagree with it.

Marketing and Promotion Communications

Lille Fro may use the personal information provided to send newsletters outlining news, services, promotional offers or events (both electronic and hard copy) to you.

You may opt out of receiving any communications from Lille Fro at any time (other than as required for the operation of our business, e.g. information about your request for a refund).

Although Lille Fro has implemented a number of security measures to protect the security and integrity of the information that you have provided to Lille Fro via the website, the website is linked to the Internet which is inherently insecure.

Similarly, Lille Fro accepts no responsibility for unauthorised use of passwords, user IDs or any other security mechanism provided by you (if any), other than authorised use by Lille Fro’s own staff.

Once the information is collected, Lille Fro will take all reasonable steps to protect that information from misuse, loss or unauthorised access. Lille Fro will destroy your personal information once it is no longer needed for the purpose for which the information was collected.

From time to time Lille Fro’s website may contain links to other websites. Lille Fro is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those websites.

Miscellaneous

This policy represents Lille Fro’s policy as at July 2009. Lille Fro may change this privacy policy from time to time. Any amendment will be made on a prospective basis, ie. all information received or retained before the time of any amendment will remain subject to the privacy policy applicable before the amendment.

Although Lille Fro intends to observe this policy at all times, it is not legally binding on Lille Fro in any way. From time to time Lille Fro may regard it as necessary or desirable to act outside this policy. Lille Fro may do so subject to any statutory rights you have under the Privacy Act or other applicable legislation.
